About Jenâ¦



Jen Phillips is the only child of John and Debbi Robie. Jen grew up with a fundamental Baptist upbringing and has more vivid memories of being at church than being at home. She and her parents were missionaries to India when Jen was 8 years old, and they lived in India for over a year before returning to the U.S.A. As she got older, Jen departed from her Biblical upbringing and drifted further and further from the Truth, as there were many painful circumstances in her family that caused her to doubt everything she had ever been taught. After marrying Aaron in 1998 and having her only son Caleb in 2001, Jen was still far away from God. Then one day in April 2004, everything changed. Jen and Aaron went to see Mel Gibsonâs film "The Passion of the Christ." She always knew the story, but it had never penetrated her heart. Even though at age 3 she had prayed âthe sinnerâs prayer,â there was no lasting fruit of evidence of being a follower of Christ. After viewing "The Passion," she came face to face with her own sin and need for a Savior. That day, she gave her whole heart to Christ and was born again. Over the following year, song after song kept pouring from her heart when she would read the Scriptures. To date, she has written over 60 songs because of the miraculous change that took place on one single day.



Jen plays the piano, Celtic tuned guitar, and adds background vocals. She wrote all the lyrics and music for the songs on Caleb the Spyâs debut album.

Aaron Phillips was brought up in a Southern Baptist church in Montana. Not long ago he was listening to âHellâs Best Kept Secretâ by Ray Comfort and came to the realization that he was lost and on his way to Hell. He gave his life to God and was born again. âI use my talents and abilities to give Christ the glory. Jesus has set me free and now I just want to sing and play for Him.â



Aaron sings lead vocals, plays lead/rhythm guitar and sometimes drums and bass for "Caleb the Spy."
