This album came about several years ago when I decided to write a series of songs simply as a personal Easter meditation. About a year later I gathered some friends of mine together to arrange the songs in a full band format and we performed them a few times live as a story concert. We had a great response! So we decided to get into the studio and record the songs.

This album begins telling the story with âWalking to the Crossâ which depicts Jesus entering Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. The rest of the songs follow as the events of the week unfold with the Last Supper, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection and the discipleâs response.

About three years in the making, this album was a unique project for me in musical storytelling. Also, Shannon Steed created beautiful original artwork for each song which were used to make the album art.

The best art communicates a story and invites others to participate. This album was made with that goal in mind -to tell the Great Story and invite others to listen and partake of it, to walk with Jesus that last week of his suffering.
