Poetic musings of two young female English major students set to music.
10 MP3 Songs
FOLK: Modern Folk, FOLK: Folk Pop
Details:
Well, these girls told me they would write their own bio in their own unique, witty and literary style. But... they never got around to doing it. So I'm left to trying to describe two people I don't yet quite understand.
Ali and Emily were students at John Brown University who were roommates their first two years. Both were English majors who enjoyed conjuring songs late into the night, drawing on literary influences from the well known classics to the more obscure and modern. They also drew from musical influences as varied as Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews, The Be Good Tanyas and many more that I will have to add when they read this and see I've left somebody out... Oh well.
But let me set aside whatever influences they may have had and just state that their music has been an influence to *me* and I'm sure it will be an influence to you as well. Please, all the tracks are available for you to listen to, so take the time and see what you think. They worked hard on this and deserve at least that much.
Also, special thanks goes out to some studio musicians who donated their talent to this project: Mike Jaspers, Neil Carr, and Dennis West.
