David Hicken is a classically trained pianist, originally from England, now residing in Hawaii. Referred to as "a poet of the piano", David has recorded 3 CDs of solo piano music for relaxation and meditation.

"Goddess", "Angels" and "Faeries" were all recorded at David's studio on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii using 24 bit state-of-the-art technology. The music is a blend of classical and new age, and is ideal for massage, meditation, healing, reiki, yoga, tai chi as well as for small children and people with sleeping disorders.

Originally from Wolverhampton, England, David moved to America when he was just 17 to attend Peabody Conservatory of Music. He signed his first record contract at the age of 19 and recorded two CDs of new age music and two CDs of classical organ music all before the age of 30.

David Hicken has given solo performances at major Cathedrals in Europe, and has been the featured soloist with symphony orchestras. A piano teacher for almost 20 years, he has also directed choirs and orchestras, and has been the Director of Music at several prestigious churches. A world traveler, David lived for a while in Thailand and Sri Lanka.

David's passion is composing beautiful music to relax and inspire his audience. His trilogy of solo piano CDs is almost complete and he is currently performing regularly and is preparing for a tour in the summer.

All of David's CDs have accompanying songbooks which are published by his own company - Enchanting Music and his choral works are being published by Hal Leonard.
