Elastic Bond fully delivers a sound that has been churning through Miami's dance floors, waistlines and stereos for almost two years now. Here, bottom-heavy, grooving beats are shot through with punchy horn lines, tied up in snaking guitar trills, caressed with sultry soulful vocal, clever lyrics, and scattershot rhymes that inject positive boosts to their listeners. It all makes for music that grinds, thumps and ultimately shimmers and glistens like cooled-but-still-sticky sweat, the kind you had to earn. It's Latin, it's dub, and although it's baked in the sun, it's big beat chillout chilled way out, over and through. More than anything else however, it's Miami.

Elastic Bond started out as a medium for Venezuelan producer Andrés Ponce to experiment and create a unique sonic cocktail. The name of the project suggests the idea of eclectic sounds and musical genres held together by a common vibe. With two independent album releases under their sleeves, they have charmed audiences throughout different parts of the world. Their latest album âEXCURSIONâ is the culmination of a great year for Elastic Bond voted Best Funky Fusion Band in the âBest of 2007â by the Miami New Times, among a few other local and international press reviews. Having opened for Latin electronic act SI*SE and publishing their first album âMADRUGADAâ in Germany, this Miami band earns instant love & popularity amongst the crowds after each performance. Their live show is guaranteed to be a real highlight.
