My name is Ginamarie and I am so excited to have recorded my first CD "Emerging Moon" and to have the opportunity to share it with you! I hope you will enjoy it as the feedback has all been positive.

I grew up in the urban city of Lawrence, MA and I have always wanted to sing. My sister Lynn played the guitar on our grandfather's magic Gibson. She was gracious enough to let me sing lead. As a result, she knows all the backup vocals to all the oldies. Because I am a perfectionist, I had to make sure I had a second career as a back-up plan so I became a high school English teacher and have been teaching since 1991. I love teaching as well, but singing has always been more of a focus in my life and all I want now is to sing!

I have been influenced most by Elvis, Roy Orbison and the music of the 50s and 60s, but other artists I have loved include, Carol King, Melissa Ethredge, bands such as UB40, OMD, and Keene.

I think music is wonderful way to tell the stories of our lives, much like the literature I teach. It is a way for commonalities to exist between people, it connects us worldwide, and makes us smile, or cry when we need to.

I hope you enjoy my voice. I hope it makes you think of something wonderous, or helps you through a rough time, or just makes you want to sing along!
