Under the influence of rock, jazz, funk, reggae, pop, and progressive inspirations, The Glorious Filaments hustle their distinct, genre-bending concoction of original music up and down the streets of South Central PA. Unsatisfied with garden variety song-slinging and the tired image appropriated by so many aspiring musicians, the band is known for their unconventional song structures, clever approaches to marketing, and gripping live performances that never cease to intoxicate fans and club owners alike.

The Glorious Filaments initially emerged from a longstanding collaboration between guitarists Jeremy Patterson and Mike Frey. The addition of drummer Scott Roberts in the summer of 2004 catalyzed an intrinsic chemistry that had been merely fermenting for years. After two years of writing and amping up the central Pennsylvania music scene, a serendipitous online encounter produced consummate musician Dave DeHart who took on bass duties (following the departure of The Filaments' original bassist) and seamlessly grafted his own unique elements to the band's sound. Since early 2007, The Glorious Filaments have been riding a steady apotheosis-bound trajectory bolstered by two top-3 nominations in the 2007 Central PA Music Awards, substantial press coverage, and the top spot in a local, 14-week battle of the bands competitionâan accomplishment that afforded them the opportunity to record their debut album Silent Use of Algorithm.

With this full-length album, The Glorious Filaments are hereby charged with possession with the intent to distribute nine potent tracks via radio airplay and print publication with potential for film and TV placement. All nine cocktails are equally habit-forming and known to be unusually addictive.
