BIG BAND JAZZ
9 MP3 Songs
JAZZ: Big Band
Details:
EMIL RICHARDS has played with everyone from George Harrison to George Shearing. Here Emil takes the solo position in front of the U.S. Army West Point Band.
Fortunately for you, this CD was (digitally) recorded live at West Point, New York with the U.S. Army West Point Band 's Jazz Knights on July 15, 2002.
All compositions were written by Emil, except the last track - Meet the Flintstones and Merrily We Roll Along (you'll recognize the tune) and arranged by MSgt James Perry and Sergeant First Class Gary McCourry, members of the West Point Big Band.
The U.S. Army's Jazz Knights is comprised of graduates of America's finest music schools and recruited and selected through a competitive audition process.
In addition to his prodigious performance abilities, so beautifully demonstrates on this recording, Emil has a collection of 750 percussion instruments that he plays.
When he is not in the studios playing on sound tracks, (he has 1800 to his credit) he is playing jazz with his quartet CALAMARI, or with his 18 piece Big Band. For more information check out his web site at www.emilrichards.com
