Les opens 2008 with his exciting version of the legendary smash hit "Telstar."
Listeners will be caught up in the dramatic sound of the Ztar- a futuristic MIDI Guitar which controls synthesizers, computers and sequencers in undreamed of ways. Arturia Moog Modular V, Logic ES2 and Mellotron take the lead in this exciting version of "Telstar."

And follows that with a Ztar MIDI Guitar instrumental of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody." Queen fans will be very taken with this instrumental performance. This version of "Bohemian Rhapsody" is only available on this Download only single.

As a bonus, another track from the "One Link Between Them" CD is "A Dim Twilight." Les controls the GForce M-Tron in a gripping performance.

A bit of BIO:

Les Fradkin is one of the guitar legends of the 1970's. He has the singular distinction of having been the first musician to portray "George Harrison" in the Original Cast Of the Broadway production of "Beatlemania." Chosen from over 2000 guitarists back in 1976, Les starred in the smash Broadway musical which ran for over 2 years and has toured all over the world Les has found success as a recording artist, composer and producer with MGM Sunflower, ESP-Disk', Bell, Arista, RCA, and Laurie Records. Les has written the well known French hit "La Chansons Des Souvenirs" ("Song Of A Thousand Voices") for the famous Mireille Mathieu. He has played 12 and 6-string Guitar, Bass, Mellotron, and Piano on dozens of Top 40 hit records throughout the early 1970's , scoring many US and UK chart placings throughout his career.

He has played and sung as a multi-instrumentalist on many Top 40 hit records throughout the early 1970's.

His Bass, 12-string guitar, vocals and production with legendary underground psychedelic folk- rock group,The Godz, resulted in several albums for ESP Disk among which "Pass On This Side" (featuring Les' song "God Bless California"), continues to influence and mentor generations of new musicians to this day.

Also, in the early 70's, he produced an album by The Left Banke and recorded and performed with them frequently during 1972 and 1973 and recorded with them for their reunion album in 1978. His song "I Could Make It Last Forever" is in current release and features the entire Left Banke on the recording.

In the early 80's, he played bass in a short lived group which also featured Mick Ronson on lead guitar and Hilly Michaels on drums.

In 1983, Les took up the Guitar Synthesizer and has been a prime exponent of it ever since. Using the SynthAxe, various Roland Guitar Synthesizers over the years, the Roland VG-8 Guitar System since 1997 and the Starr Labs Ztar since 2007, Les' musical forays using this advanced guitar technology has graced dozens of commercials, soap opera and movie soundtracks and all of his solo CD's. In fact, he was the first musician to bring guitar synthesis to the soap opera field through his work with Score Productions from 1984 through 1987.

Influenced by such icons as TThe Beatles, George Harrison, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, The Yardbirds, The Shadows, The Move, Roy Wood, Jeff Lynne, ELO, Kaleidoscope, The Left Banke, The Moody Blues, Robert Fripp, King Crimson, Yes, Steve Howe, Rick Wakeman, Steve Vai, Frank Zappa, Yngwie Malmsteen, Arthur Lee & Love, Bob Dylan, Roger McGuinn, The Byrds, Gene Clark, The Who, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, Mellotrons, Moog Synthesizers, J.S. In addition, Les has performed with The Ventures as 2nd Lead Guitarist. Nokie Edwards of The Ventures has performed with Les on several occasions and is a featured guest on his "While My Guitar Only Plays" CD. In fact, Les has been acknowledged as a guitar virtuoso for over 30 years and he has been featured in issues of 20th Century Guitar Magazine, Pipeline and New Gandy Dancer Magazines.
