Matt Tebow is best known for his blazing guitar work and sometimes melodic, sometimes not vocal style with the metal band Tunghook. Matt also plays in the band Crunchy, which is fronted by Monty Colvin, formerly with the Galactic Cowboys. "The Berry Vest" contains tracks from Matt's first 4 solo CD recordings (1993-2004), plus 4 brand new tracks. On "The Berry Vest" you will hear a comletely different side of Matt than you do with Tunghook. The biggest difference is the songwriting and the vocals. There is still plenty of tasty and creative guitar playing throughout, although not as many speed metal riffs perhaps. The music from this collection comes more from Matt's more melodic hard rock influences, such as King's X, The Beatles, Galactic Cowboys, Stone Temple Pilots, etc. as opposed to some of the heavier influences which is more what you get with Tunghook.
