Windsong contains thematic orchestral music that takes the listener through places, memories, and feelings. In Memories of Life, the listener will be taken through birth, childhood, sports, love, and finally death. Little Brother was written for a cat named Buster. In that piece, the listener will hear a cat at play described by a tenor saxophone. Windsong was written to describe a bed and breakfast in the mountains, with the morning fog, walking on trails, animal spirit and majestic mountains. Solstice was written with the help of a cat named Paws that wrote the entire song with the composer, and died when the song was finished. It has a dreamy like quality and is very relaxing. Fall has the sounds of falling leaves and those feelings we all get when winter is around the corner. The CD finishes with Song of the Native Son which describes the entire story of the Native American in the past, with the villages, the arrival of the settlers, war, death, and hopefulness for the future.
