Details:
Moonlife has never denied the influence that New Wave had on them. Not just musically influencing their catchy compositions and promoting a love of all things synthesized, but also in the new wave culture of remixes and b-sides. Remember when remixes and b-sides were actually worth collecting?
Any fan of Depeche Mode, or Frankie Goes To Hollywood, or Adam & The Ants understands. New Wave wasn't just about great albums, but also about making singles worthwhile again, about finding that hidden gem on the b-side, or that rare remix that only appeared on a limited edition 12" single. And dare we mention the Holy Grail of remixes... Razormaid?
It's this influence that provided Moonlife fans with extra b-sides and remixes even before Moonlife released their first full length album.
Radio and club DJ's were always on the band's mind and a number of limited DJ-only mixes were made available for club and radio airplay.
Some of these were collected and released on the vinyl-only "Remix LP", but most, including the latest and most recent, are exclusive to this collection.
Dancing On The Sea Of Tranquility features a collection of 11 remixes plus Moonlife's version of a classic Green Day song.
