The Omega Project, formed on the island of Kauai in 2000, weave an intricate web of musical threads ranging from funk to reggae, R&B to rock, and classical to punk. The Omega Project's new release entitled "Drink Deep", features Carlos Cardona on rhythm & lead guitar and lead vocals; Patience on bass guitar and vocals and Nauman Steele Scott IV on drums and percussion. Guest artists on this C.D. are D.J.J.Q. on turntables and introducing Margie Perez on back up vocals. The Omega Project have solid bases on the islands of Hawaii, the Pacific-Northwest based in Santa Cruz,CA and the Atlantic-Southeast based in New Orleans, LA. Following their previous CD's: "Underground & Around"; "Lillikoi Graveyard"; and "Audio Orgasms", The Omega Project are currently releasing: "Drink Deep". Recorded in New Orleans, Louisiana, "Drink Deep" is 10 new songs crafted over 8 months of slow & humid Southern days and sultry, hot musical nights. New Orleans-Comedy and Tragedy- 'Le Bon Temps Roule.' This past season in New Orleans showed players of The Omega Project on stage at "JaZZFest", The "Bayou Boogaloo" and also sharing the stage with Southern legends like George Porter, Ivan Neville, Russelle Batiste, Chief Alfred Doucette, Stanton Moore and Kevin O'Day. Similar to the other three Omega Project releases, "Drink Deep" shifts and morphs sonically from track to track, soaring over mountainous vistas, bubbling up from unseen depths and erupting violently; at times beautiful and benevolent and other times, dark and fore-boding. The Omega Project speaks lyrical truths and asks questions that are 'as old as the way' and fuse rhythms and melodies as ancient as the heartbeat.
