Phil has been the principal sound composer for Christopher House and Toronto Dance Theatre since 1999, collaborating on seven major dance productions including Timecode Break. In 2007, Timecode Break earned a Dora Mavor Moore award for outstanding music.

Phil has produced albums for other recording artists (linked below left) and contributes to several collections of sound & music as well as releasing soundtracks from his film scores and dance productions. Luscianaâs Lullaby, produced for Laurel MacDonald, became Echoes Radioâs âBest album of 2005â. Storas, produced and arranged for Mary Jane Lamond, earned an ECMA for âbest solo albumâ (2006).

Phil has film background and works in many styles. Timecode Break was composed almost entirely with electric guitar. Track number three, Jello Factory, is composed completely from the sound of a single guitar - although it may sound much more complex. Instrumentation on other tracks includes human voice (Laurel MacDonald), piano, cello and drums.
