What a story! A guy with a dream leaves a farm in Kentucky where he had been dreaming about music all his life and risk it all to drive to Chicago and knock on R-Kelly's door (it's actually a gate) and ask for a song. After being laughed at and run off a few times, Robert (r-kelly) invites him to play basketball one night. That day when Russell dropped $35,000 dollars in R-kelly's lap and said "I want a song" at about that time, Robert signaled to the engineer and said "pull up the Russell song". He had already written my song for me and he never told me but I think he just wanted to see if I was willing to put in the work and learn from him. I slept on the floor in his studio for two years and finally he gave me what no other male artist has ever had with the greatest producer ever. A duet with a male artist! The song is titled "Rich Man" and he wrote it for me. I met every star and worked on some of the biggest hits ever in the past 5 years. I produced my own album off what i learned from r-kelly and was able to get him to sing on a song on the C.D. For those that want a good, quality C. D then I don't expect any let downs on "When I'm With You" Otherwise I encourage everyone to chase their dreams and always have faith in god!
