THE SMOKING GUN is Ska with Class and Jazz with Arse!! Recently Skazz played to packed audiences at Commonwealth Games gigs, in Victoria. They have performed at the Apollo Bay Music Festival at Bar 303 and Bar Open. In 2002, the band recorded, Welcome to Civilisation featuring ska classics along with seven original tunes featuring irresistible grooves and funky blowing, Welcome to Civilisation and was launched at The Ninth Ward . Throughout 2002 Skazz wooed dancing audiences at Fitzroyâs Night Cat. The success of their year culminated in the exciting official opening of Melbourneâs Federation Square. During the Melbourne Festival at Clubspiegel Skazz ignited on stage with a proud line-up of six horn players blowing wildly into the night as the band kept dancers on their toes at The Famous Spiegeltent. In 2003 SKAZZ were featured in festivals such as Noumeaâs annual âLive En Aoutâ Music Festival, and the Queenscliff Music Festival. The inspirational playing of SKAZZ transformed listeners into dancers with encore after encore! Other highlights for Skazz include playing at the St Kilda Festival, The Belgian Beer Café, Bar Open, The Beechworth Easter Festival, Barwon Heads Festival of the Sea and for a return performance at the Queenscliff Music Festival 2004.
