A native of St. Louis, Mike MacRae moved to Houston in 1995 where he started performing stand-up at local college events. After getting out of school in 1999, Mike started going up at the legendary Houston Laff Stop and soon developed his trademark combination of insightful social and cultural commentary with uncanny, unique impressions. In 2001, Mike made his television debut on Comedy Centralâs âPremium Blendâ, and a year later he was selected âBest Local Comedianâ by the Houston Press. 2003 saw Mikeâs debut on the nationally syndicated morning radio program âThe Bob and Tom Showâ. Mike is now a regular favorite on the show; he can be heard on two Bob & Tom CDs (âCamel Toeâ and âWe Just Landedâ) and is a part of the âBob & Tom Comedy All Starsâ theater tour. In May 2007, âThe Late Show with David Lettermanâ invited Mike to perform as part of âImpressionist Weekâ. Mike MacRae is currently based in Austin, TX, and is a regular performer in comedy clubs all over the country. In addition, he was the national spokesman for âIvyBlockâ and has lent his distinctive voice to dozens of popular anime cartoons, including âSuper Milk Chanâ on Cartoon Networkâs Adult Swim. His first CD, âHovercraftâ, was released in 2007.
