ew@40 began as a friendship between Bobby Shokes, Jr., David Lipp and Rick Way in the seventh grade in Tampa, FL. The three decided to conquer the world as Rock and Roll musicians. They toured Florida with dreams of success. They shared a creative bond that took them through many years of musical adventure and experience. As time passed, adventure became responsibility and creativity became ambition in various jobs and employment ventures. They matured as people, fathers and husbands, however grew apart as a result. Like a lot of us they experienced marital woes, financial challenges, and child rearing pains. A few years back they reunited for a "jam" and family reunion which started out as just for fun. They discovered that there still existed this creative bond between them, and they also discovered that they all had raised their children in the spirit of Christ and had similar beliefs in a higher power and "Doctrine" that guides us all. They created this music collection as a celebration of God, love of family, and their undeniable friendship. With help from their friends and long time music companions, Dave Sumner and Mickey Diaz they have compiled a Musical presentation of Christian flavored original songs, we hope you will enjoy. The cycle was complete as they added Ryan "Tech Boy" Lipp as their bass player.
