This compelling documentary revisits the 1850's Willie and Martin Mormon handcart pioneer companiesâ tragedies as they pressed toward what would be known as Utah's Salt Lake valley. Over 200 men, women, and children suffered a slow and painful death from exhaustion, starvation, and exposure along the frozen pioneer trail.
