Hunter Hawes (Born October 17, 1988) is a musician, artist, poet, visionary, and son of a lottery winner.

Biography
Hunter Hawes was born in Minneapolis Minnesota, where he lived and grew up the first 18 years of his life. The son of Michael Hawes, who was a multimillion dollar lottery winner, and Shelley Hawes, photographer, idealist, pacifist, and political activist. He grew up in his familyâs music store (Groth Music). Hunter attended public school in Lakeville Minnesota. He has been quoted as saying âPublic schooling was the biggest waste of energy of my lifeâ.

The Lottery
On December 6th of 2007 Hunterâs Father claimed a winning powerball ticket worth 47 million dollars. The impact on his life was tremendous. Not only did it bring the family stability and luxuries, but more importantly gave the young ambitious artist the ability to pursue his passions.

East Coast
As soon as Hunter graduated high school he moved away from Minnesota and made the east coast his new home. He had a short enrollment in Berklee School of Music in Boston MA for jazz guitar performance. He later moved to New York City where he currently resides. Hunter is known to be very outspoken for his hatred of Midwest suburban life.

DJ K-NO
Inspired by a turntable class he attended in Berklee Hunterâs first album DJ K-NO is a genre bending mix of turntablism, jazz, rock, house, and poetry. The album was created, performed, recorded, produced, and distributed entirely by himself.

Wall Street HOOLIGAN
Hunters upcoming album which was recorded on Wall Street home of the New York Stock Exchange. Some songs have leaked on the internet via homemade videos made by Hawes.

Ill Logic
In 2007 Hunter claimed partial ownership of the clothing company Ill Logic. Two of Hunterâs high school friends founded the company, Jake LaSalle & Joe Maher. The company sells urban apparel.

Music
Hunter plays guitar, turntables, bass, piano, drums, percussion, sitar, vocals, clarinet, trumpet, and is known to whistle occasionally. When you ask him what instrument he plays he is known to respond âEverything that makes noiseâ.. Hunter is the featured artist on the new American TV show âKITâ. He also is the shows music director.

MISC
Hunterâs all time hero is Pete Doherty the British icon and lead singer of the Babyshambles. He is also a Mountain Dew junkie and as legend has it drinks at least 6 cans a day. He also a businessman and car enthusiast, his favorite car is the Lexus LS 460 (He owns a black one). He writes poetry as shown on the track âSpanish Absintheâ on DJ K-NO. He has an avid interest in the ocean. He enjoys gambling often and is said to be an excellent poker and black jack player. He plans to play in the world series of poker in 2010. He is also a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan. Politically Hunter is a Liberal and registered Democrat.
