Amanda Droste is no American Idol, and she is sure to let you know early on with one of her standout tunes sarcastically titled-what else-âAmerican Idleâ. The contrast of whispered intimate stories and forceful biting narratives means Amandaâs âUnfazedâ is already drawing comparisons ranging from Liz Phair to Alanis. Landing the cover of Good Times Magazine as one to watch in 2007, her face will soon grace newsstands again in the March 2008 issue (distributing to over 1,500 locations in New York). With songs released in a sneak preview, âI Wonât Knowâ was voted one of NextBigHit.comâs âBest of 2006â while âAmerican Idleâ climbed to 6 all-time in pop rock at Garageband.com. Previously, her debut EP âTide You Overâ (2004) ranked 13th out of 72,838 artists on CDBABY.com, and was met with praise such as âPerfectly performed, expertly recorded intro effortâ, so it is no surprise her latest album is generating interest again.

A New York transplant, the Michigan native can be found performing with her band at such legendary venues as: The Central Park Band Shell, Snitch, Crash Mansion, The Cutting Room and The Canal Room in NYC- she also recently added The Whiskey A Go Go and Genghis Cohen in L.A. to her conquests.
