Femurs - Jack Cafferty vs. Chuck Scarborogh - Homespun Records
The femurs are from New York and curently live in Seattle. Rob Femur and Colin Femur are friends from way back before highschool. Way back before Rob ended up living in his broken down Tempo in Olympia, Wa. Way back before Colin was teleported to Seattle to take notes on humanity and report back to Gorto. Really far back.
The result of this near eternal lineage is the femurs, a semi-acoustic duo of homespun sounds influenced by the likes of the Ramones, the Minutemen, the Velvet Underground, Sebadoh, Jonathan Richman, Lou Reed, and lots of other music that some people like. The femurs are made up of 1 guitar and 1 drum set and switch off playing drums and guitar laced with harmonized vocals.
The Femurs have recorded and released two cds on their own home based record label called Homespun Records.
The first record is a 16 song self titled cd and the second record, released on march 2005, is called: Jack Cafferty vs. Chuch Scarbarogh. (named after their favorite NYC news anchormen). The album is a six song ep that remains true to their upbeat acoustic punk rock.
