ABOUT "FERGUS McCORMICK":

"Fergus' self-titled CD features ten very different tracks of music that will appeal to any music lover, regardless of a preference in genre. His amazing story-telling lyrics, crisp guitar playing, along with other ingredients provide a great CD."
-Kenneth Monez, Just Another Song

"I heard about Fergus McCormick from a friend in New York, and bought the CD on his recommendation. I haven't enjoyed an album like this in years. A soothing, emotional record that makes you reflect on life and love, and smile in a melancholy sort of way. I can't stop playing it..."
-Dan McCarron

MORE ABOUT "FERGUS McCORMICK":

New York-based singer-songwriter Fergus McCormick brings memorable melodies and wry, trenchant lyrics to his ballads.

His debut album, "Fergus McCormick", opens with "Roman Candle," the story of a cuckold who cannot but continue to love his newly wedded Italian wife, and a testament to the fleeting, irresistible nature of women.

McCormick's characters yearn for their women, as in "Yvonne" where the narrator outwardly scorns the object of his desire, while inwardly confessing his adoration for her at the end of the song.

"Blue Karmann Ghia" is a conversation between a skeptic and a believer in love. Meanwhile, another type of song emerges in "Extremadura Love" and "Mombasa in the Rain", which depict both emotional release and psychological conflict in exotic locales.

This album forms the bedrock of Fergus' style, which is embellished on his second release, "Jumping the Gun".
