As the creator of Minizicians, I have watched my childrenâs songs spark an immediate and magical bond with children and adults and the connection is captivating. When children listen to the songs on the CD, parents often remark âWe listened to The Big Brown Bear 11 times yesterday!â. Children are the toughest critics and when they continue to chant âAGAIN!, AGAIN!â, it is music to my ears. All of the songs on the CD have originated from, and been inspired by children, as I am continually challenged and driven to compose from the ideas that are triggered by my surroundings each day. Singing always creates a natural climate for friendship and delight for children and adults.

My Minizicians Program began at The Community Music School of Thayer Symphony Orchestra in Leominster, MA when the school opened in the Fall of 2002. Since then I have branched out to the surrounding communities teaching and performing in several pre schools, day cares, elementary schools and libraries. To venture out and share with as many children as possible, is truly fascinating and essential if I want to reach millions of children rather than one in a million. The CD is a favorite in the car and at home. Apparently one of my protégés keeps his Minizicians CD next to Raffiâs, which is a true honor in the world of childrenâs music.

During the Minizicians Program, children learn elementary levels of singing, spelling, adding, and reading music in a safe and nurturing environment. In addition, several activities help to reinforce coordination, keeping the children active. Tapping into the creativity and hidden talents in each child at an early age, instills a sense of confidence and accomplishment we want for all of our children. Positively encouraging children to learn these skills enables a greater understanding and discipline to take place as they grow.

Creative techniques are key in developing, incorporating, and refining the lessons in which children initially find fun, excitement, and challenge. Combining a variety of original songs, as well as familiar and traditional songs, with exercises, dances, games, and toys, each child assimilates the activities and develops at an individualâs pace. Course structure and content blend easily cultivating a foundation and building skills that can only be learned through music instruction. Studies show using musical communication at a very young age is instrumental in the life long success of our children.


For the children, they just have fun while they learn! For the adult, they learn how to incorporate music and fun as they raise their children. The connection is magical as it triggers thoughts, emotions, triumphs and experiences. Itâs like planting a little fun in your garden every day. With the right amount of musical ingredients, love, attention, and discipline, children blossom.
