KEITH E. TURNER has been in the music business since the age of 12! He started out as the leader/drummer of his first group that met with some local success in St. Louis, Missouri before entering college. While attending Harris-Stowe State College, Keith turned to piano and vocals and continues to develop those skills today. A former vocal music teacher, Keith taught for 13 years with the St. Louis Board of Education. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education/Music Education, and is a Certified teacher with the State of Missouri.
Keith has toured nationally with several outstanding local stars. This includes Barbara Carr, David Dee, and Bill Tucker, just to name a few. He has the proud distinction of having worked with the late Bennie Smith, Oliver Sain, and Little Milton. Internationally, he has traveled extensively while performing for audiences in Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia, France, Italy, Bosnia, Vietnam, and most recently Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Keith has opened for international stars such as Dianne Reeves, Melba Moore, Lou Rawls, the Ozark Mountain Daredevils, and the Dramatics. His performance experience also includes tours on cruise ships to many exciting ports such as Alaska, Mexico, Hawaii, the Caribbean and Europe. Keith has recorded with the National Baptist Convention, several local artists and groups, and now presents his first solo endeavor.
