Have you been Filtered?

Filtered are a rock/pop band from the UK. Like all bands, they reckon they can't be pigeon-holed, but if you like crunchy guitars and lyrical songs with catchy choruses, this could be your thing. Think Husker Du, Pixies, Feeder, R.E.M. and Teenage Fanclub...

After Kabir Sheikh (guitar/vocal) and Fraser Whitehead (bass)debuted as Filtered in December 2000, they quickly recorded their debut album, "New Moon". Sporadic radio airplay around the world in 2001 gained them fans in the US and UK, with reviews complementing their melodies and songwriting, concluding "we may very well have a new force to be reckoned with in the genre."

The band embarked on their first pub and club tour of the UK in summer 2002, recruiting drummer Nick Gipson that September. The band then recorded a pop EP, "Nicotine and Tar", to positive reviews, noting that there was "potential here for daytime radio play."

With Filtered's second album, "See Straight Through", they created a diverse and intense set of rock songs that stretched them and engaged listeners. Coupled with their exciting live shows and growing audience, the band should have big hopes for the future!
