About my songs:
These songs were written walking along the beach and sitting at my desk, they were written in response to troublesome events in my life or simply to pass the time on a lonely Saturday afternoon - but above all they were written with the wish to delight and amuse, engage and teach any child.

About my background:
I was born in Boston, MA to a German mother and an American father but moved to Germany at the age of five. There I attended a Waldorfschool in Stuttgart where I was educated in music and various crafts as well as academics. I received private instruction in classical cello and guitar and have continued to play the guitar ever since.

Upon my return to the U.S. at the age of 19, I received a BA in illustration from RISD in Providence RI, worked as a freelance illustrator for 10 years, then gradually shifted my focus to the pursuit of my musical interests.

Now I live in Hampton VA, teach guitar at Centerstage Academy of Performing Arts in Yorktown and write and compose songs for children and adults for guitar or keyboard.

About my songbook:
So that both parents and their children can learn some of the songs they like, I have put together a songbook arranged for vocal and acoustic guitar.
