I am native of Washington State and in the 1970's began a musical group in the Vancouver area called Vortex. We played "rock and roll" music and wrote original songs. In the mid 70's' the group broke up I went back to college and became involved in environmental issues in Washington. I have been involved in those issues for the last 25 years. I continued to play music and wrote several songs that were associated with my experiences---most of the songs have a Pacific Northwest slant. Many times friends and family suggest I play or record my music and in 2002 I had the opportunity and recorded some of my songs. This CD is called "It's About Time" which fits with the wishes of family and friends and is a theme that runs through the CD. The CD is a little bit of folk, country, and a bit of jazz. I am married to a wonderful woman, Kim (12 years)--have a great son Jarred (9 years old) and live in Elma, Washington. I enjoy the ocean--mountains and all the rest of the planet and envision a world based on giving and hope--not on hate and fear.
