PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
FINLAY MORTON - Debut album 'Interpret This' makes big splash
London, England (January 2005) - Moving to London to become a famous rock star took its toll on the wee lad from Aberdeen. So low did he sink, he ended up working for Prime Minister Tony Blair. Being mistaken in Washington as Blair's guitar tech was a turning point and galvanised him into action.
With his debut album now finished and being released to the media for promotional use, it is also currently riding high at number 4 in RRadioMusic.com's Pop Music charts with promotion on nearly 400 of their afilliated online radio stations.

Assembling some of the finest musicians in the land, Finlay entered the studio with a bucket of songs, a barrel of hope and a skipful of determination. The result is eleven fine rock songs charting the ups and downs of love lives and life in general.
Finlay takes the album on the road starting on St Valentine's day with a launch party in London with a national tour taking in some of the finest intimate venues in the land.
The album was produced by Pip Williams (Status Quo) who said of the album: "This album has been a real labour of love to record. It was a joy to work on such fine songs with such great people."
The band consists of some of the finest in the business. Keyboard player Jim Watson's credits stretch from Nashville to Hollywood via jazzers Incognito and rocker Gary Moore. On drums, Shane Meehan, not just the son of the Shadow's drummer Tony, but also in demand by the likes of Norman Cooke and US3 with his great breakbeats in the Twiddly bits MIDI collection! John McKenzie (The Pretenders, Bob Dylan, Eurythmics and Alison Moyet) plays bass with Greg Bone (Tom Jones, Kylie Minogue, Pet Shop Boys, Eddie Reader, Sting, Simply Red, and Trevor Horn) on guitar.
There are also contributions from James Walbourne (Bap Kennedy), Bob Jenkins (Kiki Dee and Leo Sayer but we forgive him) Darren Tingay (Leigh Franklin), Martin Ditcham (Chris Rea) and rounded off with Steeleye Span's piper Troy Donockley and uber-flugler Sid Gauld (Burt Bachrach, Blur, James Galway, The Stranglers, Ray Charles).
Tony Moore (broadcaster and promoter) says of the album: "This is the best debut album I've heard in years".
If that lot doesn't win you a six degrees drinking game, what will?
