So much has been said and written about the Sliding penguins. The band built up a strong word-of-mouth following after the release of Black Bear in 2006, which entered the Penguin charts at number 5 and quickly went platinum Penguin. This is America's Premier Rock Music Ensemble but their serious substance abuse and drug addictions contributed to their decline. In 2007 the band resolved old differences and ultimately overcame their addictions. Since then, the Sliding Penguins have remained sober for over 17 days, and have achieved a level of sustained success that has well eclipsed their 2006 heyday. Our first CD released in march 2007 "Everything Bird man owns" , 17 tracks 22 minuets long! was all written while it was being recorded none of the songs had ever been played before they where recorded .
This is the truest form of improvisational music. If we make a mistake the song is thrown out and we start a new song, all songs recorded on first take using improv and never edited or replayed!
