In February [21st â 23rd] 2008, I will be doing a special showcase (and some private showcases) at the International Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis. Iâve had three TV appearances and numerous public performances in Central Illinois [70âs â present]. I moved to Nashville (from Springfield,IL) in December â07 to pursue writing/performing full-time; I can be seen/heard around town at Singer/Songwriter venues. I am a member of the Songwriters Guild of America and also a member of ASCAP as a writer and publisher (Ty Tunes). Born in the late spring of â53 . . . I began playing guitar at age 12, an old Stella; won a little Harmony guitar on a movie ticket stub at age 14. Started doing Dylan covers at age 16 and writing my own songs the following year. I developed a lot as a singer/songwriter/guitarist in the Army (â72 and â73) . . . mainly from playing with other folks. I am typically inspired by [and often learn and grow from] being around other musicians. It's great being part of an artistic community here in Nashville!
