Spending his days as a teacher and nights as a musician, Jason Whited has come into his own with his sophomore CD, Big Time, and his debut single-song release, Big Time, reached the No. 1 spot on the TOP 100 ECMA Country chart and grabbed the number 1 spot on the EURO TOP 40 Most Played chart.

With almost two decades of performing and recording experience backing his hard-work and diligent efforts while pursing a music career, Whited has pulled out all the stops! Big Time is exactly thatâit has all the expected ingredients of a Big Time production; jam-packed with the unmistakable sound of Nashvilleâs finest musicians playing top-quality songs, all orchestrated by band leader extraordinaire Joe Spivey, a multi-talented musician who is considered one of the best fiddle players on Music Row and a fourteen-year member of the John Anderson band. Whited, a self-admitted perfectionist, worked diligently alongside George Clinton, and together they produced an album they are both extremely proud of. âItâs a winner,â George remarked. Perhaps this high school teacher from Middle Tennessee, with a voice thatâs been described time after time as âpristineâ, who clearly enjoys singingâhas his site set on the Big Time in a big way. Whited co-wrote the title-track, âBig Timeâ as well as âI Went Down To Nashvilleâ, âWrong Thing Rightâ, âLyinâ Togetherâ, and self-penned âI Know Iâm Goinâ To Heavenâ. Jasonâs former J T Country Acoustic Duo partner, Tom Lamb wrote âI Forgot To Thank Herâ. After hearing the demo of âLet Me Down Easyâ, Jason contacted co-writers Scott Allen Metro and Don Paul Moore and said, âThis is a terrific country ballad, it has all the qualities of a classic traditional standard, Iâd really like to cut it.â Whited is proud to be the first artist to record âSteady As She Goesâ co-written by Terry Brown and Aaron Tippin, and also âLove Makes A Fool Of Us Allâ, penned by Nashville hit-makers Skip Ewing & the legendary Max D. Barnes. The last track on the album is a cover version of Hank Williamsâ âIâm So Lonesome I Could Cryâ. Whited said he wanted to record it because; âitâs one of the saddest and greatest country songs Iâve ever heardâ.
