"Mediterranean Myths" is Magoulas second instrumental album, rooted in his experience of bringing together samplers with unusual combinations of instruments. You can hear the Balkan Gypsy Brass Band together with the Mandolin, Ethnic Percussion with Classical Guitar and Strings.

The CD primarily sounds like a soundtrack: a nostalgic journey into the air of the Mediterranean Sea. Musically wise, Yiorgos merges Greek music forms with Italian, Spanish, Balkan, Gypsy and the so-called Mediterranean temperament.

YIORGOS MAGOULAS

Born in Athens,Yiorgos is a versatile and awarded composer. Since 1991 he has written a number of orchestral scores as well as music scores for short-films, television, theatrical plays, and documentaries. He is skilled guitarist, pianist and mandolin player. Having a thorough knowledge of traditional Hellenic and Balkans music as well as classical his themes always maintains a link with a distinct "ethnic" feel.

In 1995 he was awarded for Best Music in TV Advertising.
