Cathie D., knows all these things first hand, having been put up for adoption as an infant, and discovering at a young age she had Retinitis Pigmentosa coupled with Ushers Syndrome; a blend of diseases robbing her of perfect vision and clear hearing.

Though facing tough odds, with vision and hearing impairments, Cathie's family embraced her musical interests launching her creative appetite. She flourished by writing, composing her first songs, learning piano, violin and guitar before her 14th birthday, all without anyone really knowing or being able to detect a hearing loss.

Cathie D.'s fortitude is an inspiration to all who know her, and relish in the lyrics, rhythms and performance, of a specialized blend of notes, birthed only by passion, strife and a yearning to be heard, seen and understood.
