=======================================================

On a personal note, I would like to take a moment to tell the story behind the song "Ghosts of History" it's a song written for my Father about the very first time I was able to visit the Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC with him. My dad didn't talk about his experiences in Vietnam much as I was growing up. As we walked past the growing rows of white lettered names on the wall I could feel the solemn and respectful air of those other tourists walking by, but I didn't really understand that every name has so many stories and memories locked in that wall with them, until my Dad took a dollar bill out of his pocket and set it at the base of one of the panels. He pointed at a name on the wall and said, "he charged $2.00 for a haircut, I only had a dollar on me so I told him I would pay him later." This moment stuck with me. There is so much meaning behind everything left at the wall. It wasn't just a dollar that fell out of someone's pocket, it is a debt owed. A few years after this experience I wrote the song "Ghosts of History" for my Father for his birthday present.

Finally I was able to have my brother William record the song as it was written, from my father's perspective and with his son to sing it for him. I hope you take a moment to listen and remember and contemplate the many stories and memories left at the wall every day.

Dad, I will not forget.

JaNae
