The story of Flesh Pilgrims begins in the early 90's. Two young music lovers named Lance Farley and Joe Krumrey, having initially been turned on to Nirvana but then having they're minds blown by the Melvins, decided to start jamming. From basements to barns the newly christened Flesh Pilgrims played. Sometimes a bass player was there, sometimes not. Joe and Lance met a hip young cat named Mike Jake with whom they hit it off rather well. Turned out Mike played bass and really liked the Pilgrims style. Still it wasn't right away that the three began jamming together. They went their separate ways for a while but realized after a year or two that life sucked without the band. So the boys got together and decided to play together full time.
2001- The band enters Cellar Records studio in Dixon, IL to begin work on what will be their first full length album, Year One. It was slow going for the Pilgrims since they could only grab a weekend here and there and they were a little green as well. But with friend/producer Todd Joos by their side they managed to make an album they're proud of.
2003- Year One officially released on Cellar Records. The boys have found a home in the great state of Texas and the fun times are beginning. Although the first album has just been released the Pilgrims have already been trying new material out on fans in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. More extreme influences such as Slayer and Fantomas have invaded their consciousness so expect the band to continually evolve their sound and carry the banner of rock n' roll.
