From an idea that took form during Washington DC's blizzard of 1996, Flume has now captured their sound on their first full-length CD. "Note To Self" offers ten textured and subtle pop songs as an alternative to today's typically abrasive sounds.
David Nicholas (guitars) and Heather Nicholas (vocals) joined with Terry Burcham (drums) and Chris Vigliotti (bass) to make the pop ideal a reality. Flume produces a swirl of guitars and melodies that make an emotional connection which is fragile and powerful at the same time.
Live performances around the DC area have included Galaxy Hut, the Black Cat, and other local clubs with coverage by Washington's City Paper. After participating in an independent tribute CD for The Church and other recording ventures, "Note To Self" stands as the most complete statement by Flume to date.
