8 Box formed in the summer of 2006 with a focus on writing original music. Within just a few weeks the band already had a couple of new songs under their belt and were energized at the direction the music was taking them. Spotlight Fallacy was the first song written by the band and set the tone for the entire album. Modern, Alternative Rock built on a bed of Atmospheric sounds and driving percussion proved to be the signature sound for this band from Birmingham, Alabama. The lineup consist of Brian Culverhouse: Drums (Birmingham)
Scott Smith: Bass (Philly)
Jeff Johnson: Vocals, Guitars, Keys (Birmingham)
As the band begins to prepare for Summer shows, they are also back in the studio to record the follow up to this self-titled cd.
