Details:
Some may see folk music as an expression of self through traditional, time-honored instrumentation. For two musicians from the rolling hills of southeast Indiana, it has become a way to expand the boundaries that typically hold captive all things lost to the imagination.

With the release of this self-titled album, Mike Detmer and William Ryan Fletcher have reached the end of a road that has been more than 5 years in the making. Beginning with casual creation sessions dating back to the late 1990's, the pair began melding songs that were anchored in traditional American songsmith as well as ambient electronic experimentation. While this combination has been attempted many times before, Detmer and Fletcher use their wildly scattered influences to create music that is at once catchy, moody, and unique.

In the summer of 2004, Detmer and Fletcher began working toward the goal of releasing an EP. Shortly after work began, it became obvious to the pair that a full length album would be the only way to satisfy their need to create an album worthy of releasing on the unsuspecting listeners.
Mike Detmer is currently a member of the Cincinnati area rock group The Spectacular Fantastic while William Ryan Fletcher continues to create twisted ambiance at his Quiet Lab Studio. The pair is currently contemplating two more releases that will follow in the near future by way of the recently formed Vibrating Needle Recording Collective.
