GOODFELLA first came to attention of the New York City Hip-Hop underground when he came here from his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. He began his conquest by sitting in at a lot of open-mic sessions around the city. The original version of Strictly Dago, the song he is known for performing, won the demo contest on the Stretch Armstrong show hosted by Bobbito Garcia. He then rhymed on WKCR live on the show one week, and ripped it! This is how he came to the attention of producer G-Clef, who then produced an album's-worth of material for him. He was featured on the now classic Soul Kid Klik single, Mortal Combat,; his verse was the last to be heard on the track. His first single was that award-winning song, Strictly Dago., backed with a collaboration between he and G-Clef called Two Guinnies With Soul. Also, as a bonus track, was a radio edit of the classic raw remix of Mortal Combat .

The album, Time To Make Da Pasta, (1996) is even more dark and raw, and explores the clandestine world "of a real Sicilian mobster", as unfortunately, Goodfella, always keeping it real, has become a lammist in real life, for even we , do not know where he is.... we are hoping that his cosa-nostra style has not finally caught up with him.

He also made a cameo appearance on a track called Club Goodfella on the G-Clef's Jazzy Breaks, Vol. 1 release. His underworld style is sometimes credited with the sudden resurgence of Italiano culture in Rap Music, back in 1997. Kool G. Rap found him to be very dope, as did Ghostface Killah, Killah Priest, Shabazz the Disciple, The RZA, and Method Man. Ghost even asked him to do a track with him on his first album, but it did not come to fruition. Goodfella, after leaving the Klik, was featured briefly in "OZ", an HBO series (see picture below). His career, nowadays,(2002) seems sadly relegated to hosting open - mic sessions in Lower Manhattan.
