Little Red Theatre was established in 1988 to make creative theatre productions that would interest and educate young children. We tour schools and theatres and over the years we have made 21 different shows based on various fairy tales and themes that kids are interested in.

Some of these productions have been translated into audio plays. The Ugly Duckling was one of our very first theatre productions; the first time we performed this play was in 1989 and since then it has gone through many evolutions.

The Ugly Duckling play was written by Jody Terio from the Hans Christian Andersen story and features beautiful songs and music which complimented the creative process, in the early stages of developing this piece for the stage. Thousands of children (from hundreds of public schools) have enjoyed the stage production and we hope that you will enjoy listening to our audio play version on your CD.

We have recorded a few of our other plays: The Snow Queen, The Name of The Tree and The Nightingale and we will be releasing them later this year. We are looking forward to recording and creating many more CDs for your entertainment and education.
