Olly J Wedgwood - pianist, singer, composer and performer - has been gigging and leading bands for over fifteen years, starting early on by founding the 'Big Jazz and Blues Band' during his sixth form at Hampton School in the UK. At Cambridge University, he then founded, conducted, arranged music for and managed Selwyn Jazz, an 18-piece swing band as well as The Lovehandles - a high energy rhythm & blues 9-piece playing fantastic covers to the bopping student masses!

After Uni, Olly worked as an engineer and physics teacher by day and gigged by night with various jazz and soul ensembles. In 2004, he handed in his notice and went pro, playing frequently with the Oxford Jazz Quintet (Jamie Cullum's previous group before he rocketed to stardom) as well as his own jazz and funk bands.

Olly has been quietly composing, arranging and recording, combining the talents of the many professional players he has worked with on the gig circuit with his own love of song writing. The result is the diverse and new sound that is Olly J's most recent album - 'From the Heart'. Funky melodies, passionate ballads, Latin rhythms and beautifully crafted songs performed by Olly and his fantastic new band!
