ROCK: Psychedelic, ROCK: Modern Rock

Details:
Frequency db recorded "Blue Down Where the Diver Goes" in 1997-98 at Moon Music in Olympia, WA with engineer Scott Swayze (Modest Mouse, Dirty Birds). Additional tracking and mixdown was done by Tom Smurden at Barrett Jones Laundry Room Studio in Seattle, WA. Jeremy Wilson (Dharma Bums, Pilot) produced. Sam and John Densmore wrote the songs, sang and played guitar and bass, Peter Buzzelle played drums, Derek Johnson played the cello, Rob Allison sang some backups.
the band fielded record deal offers and toured for a year after making the CD, then broke up, got back together and broke up again following an accident in Oly on Elvises birthday, 2000 where Sam was hit by a car, forcing him to move to his hometown of Coos Bay, OR. Currently, the Densmore Bros. are collaborating in Silverhawk and have a recently released CD titled "Westward" available on Blue Eyed Crow Music.

Frequency db created enduring songs that bridge the gap between Space Rock, New Wave and Classic Pop/Art Rock. Each song to occupied it's own space by utilizing a catchy melody, distinctive instrumentation, and an undeniable groove. Frequency db opened shows for national artists such as Frank Black, Creeper Lagoon, Dub Narcotic, Mike Watt, The Posies, Sky Cries Mary, Sunset Valley and others... for more info, see the old school website here:http://www.olywa.net/sunnyside/frequencydb/
