They have also been compared with Liz Phair, Hole, and the Cranberries.

FRILLY LIZARD was born after Ingrid and Brian met and started talking about music. The rest, as they say, is history! In December of 2000 the group released their first album, 'Dancin' on the Water'.

Since then they have been actively working to promote themselves on the internet from their underground lair in Northern New Jersey.

GUARANTEED NOT TO BITE! FRILLY LIZARD consists of Brian Pimley (guitars), Ingrid Pimley (vocals & bass), and Bob Dunleavy (drums).

Brian started playing guitar when he was 10 years old. He honed his skills by locking himself in his room and playing along with such classics as the Beatles, Van Halen and Led Zeplin til all hours of the night. The music for their songs flows everytime Brian touches a guitar.

Ingrid spent a lifetime loving music from Don McClain's American Pie to the Smiths to Ani Difranco, but it wasn't until recently that she was inspired to give it a try herself. Singing in the car became singing on stage and in the studio. She began playing the bass because they needed a bass player.

Ingrid also provides all the lyrics and artwork!

Bob began bangin' a drum when he was 4 years old and has never stopped. In fact, the rest of his family is nearly deaf! It is also rumored that Bob is a harmonica guru... although we haven't seen any evidence of this so far! They are currently in the studio working on new material and are also gearing up for some live shows this summer.
