Guitarist Jim Froman played his first professional bar gig when he was 15 years old. During the course of his career he has worked with Peter Noone as a Hermit in Herman's Hermits, Patty Loveless, Danny and the Juniors, David Ball, many others. Jim Froman currently teaches guitar as well as jazz improvisation at Allegheny College in Meadville PA where he lives with his family and gigs with his son (Jackson Froman) who plays the piano. The album "Jim Froman's Hot Rhythm Club Band" has been a project that had been on the back burner for years. The CD which has finally been released contains Jazz classics of the 1920s. Jim froman's playing style has been greatly influenced by Louis Armstrong. The cd features such classics as West End Blues with Armstrong's part played on a National Tricone resonator guitar. Along with Jim and Jackson Froman, the CD also features Aimee Reash on tuba and Rob Roth on drums. Both Aimee Reash and Rob Roth also teach music at Allegheny College.
