Details:
As a youth, Jamaican-born Terry-Blaine was influenced by the Rastafarians and their work with Human Rights. He rose to love Reggae Music through the influence of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, and other revolutionaries that impacted Jamaica as a whole.
During the early 1990âs Terry-Blaine joined The Street Corner Brethren to form a Reggae Band named Abbasani. Abbasani blazed the reggae "Sun Splash Music Festivalâ in Jamaica and received a standing ovation. Terry-Blaine together with Abbasani toured around Jamaica to audiences that demanded their return every time. Abbasani released a song called âRevelation Time" that was released in the United Kingdom. âRevelation Time" soared on the charts and rose to 14 in England, and according to Black Ecko Magazine Terry-Blaine was the missing link to the chain of Roots Reggae artists. Terry-Blaine and the Abbasani band also toured the United States (1993) visiting cities such as Mexico City, where they performed at the "Jamaica Muzik Federation Festival (JMF).
When Abbasani separated in the mid 1990's, Terry-Blaine saw an opportunity to further his musical career and he moved to the United States of America. Terry-Blaine uprooted himself from his native home of Kingston, Jamaica and came to the United States of America in January of 2002. Terry-Blaine soon linked up with talented musician such as Al Nortey (Drummer, Song Writer, Producer), Henley Goddard (Bassist), Ray(Percussion) together they formed the Gideon Band! Terry-Blaine has also linked up with song writers and singer from Jamaica like Terrence Swire and Robert Spence to continue the journey of his musical revolution.
âThe mission continues now Real Roots Reggae," says Terry-Blaine. For certain, artists' success is the accumulation of talent, hard work, patience, and luck of the draw, but Terry-Blaine believes that it is also having a good development team. Terry-Blaine also surrounds himself with positive people that have accredited resources, and being under the management of Radical Culture Terry-Blaine success is exclusively cultivated.
