Details:
The Ticks are an all girl rock/pop trio from Cape Cod.

With Sue LaVallee on guitar, Emma Levy on bass, and Julia Randall on drums, The Ticks play original music that is smart, funny, and rockin'.

From the first time the girls played together in 1999 at a friend's rehearsal space, there was a humorous repartee that continues today in their music. Alternating every-girl longings with social satire and absurd silliness, The Ticks' live performances can include costumes, special songs, or themes.

In the summer of 2001, The Ticks released So Young, So Bad, recorded by Kevin Reilly at Lookinglass Studios in New York. Still with their original drummer and Randall on guitar, So Young, So Bad contains early fan favorites Allergy, and Skinny Bed. The record was listed by Jim Sullivan as one of the top ten CDs of the year in the Boston Globe.

The next spring, boy drummer number two left the band, and Julia took over on the drums. Shortly after that, The Ticks opened up for the B52's at the Cape Cod Melody Tent.

The Ticks' next record Pick Me!, recorded by Plymouth Rock Records, debuted in the summer of 2004. In 2007 they again started off the B52's show at the Melody Tent.

In 2008, the girls are recording again, and the first new Tick Music in years will be available!
