August 8th 2002 my younger brother passed away. It was at his funeral that I first heard that inner voice say "write". At the time I thought I was suppose to write a book about his life, to tell the story that he could no longer tell himself. It wasn't until a few years later that I fully understood that I was suppose to write music.

About the same time my wife and I had joined a new church and within a few months I started playing guitar with the modern worship band. All part of the Big Picture. I can see that now.

Later, unbenounced to us in the band, our band leader had made the decision to move on and start his own church. Being that his mind was tied up planning his new venture. The music became stale and we found ourselves playing the same songs over and over, week in and week out. I grew restless with what we were playing and decided to try my hand at writing music. It took 3 months to write that first song, Ticket Home. Once I presented it to our Modern Worship Arts director at our church it didn't take much for me to realize that I was on to something that people would enjoy and want to hear.

With the hiring of our new Modern Worship Arts director I became even more focused with a clearer vision of what I was suppose to do. I began to realize the real reason that music touches people in such a profound way and tried to zero in on that with my own style. The purpose in my mind is to introduce people to Christ through music that is not an in your face, TV Evangelist style of preaching. The love for the music became almost an obsession and I found myself filled with the fire of God's Spirit, churning out song after song. It was only a few months later when I realized that I had enough music to create a CD of my own. I began working on and tweaking the recordings coming up with a product in which I am very proud of. All of the songs on this disc tell a story, based on events we all have lived through. I'm proud of this project! I hope you enjoy it and find that you can relate to it.

Description: The music on this disc is Christian based with songs all written from personal experiences during my everyday life. They are not the cookie cutter production that's played on Christian Radio (at least in my market here in Michigan). Musically they have a mainstream radio feel to them with accents on Classic Rock, Blues and Southern Rock and Roll mainstream music similar to Thin Lizzy, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, Blackfoot etc. I've been told that vocally I sound like Jim Morrison.
