In his first recording in over ten years, Tony Booth hits a home run with âIs This All There Is To A Honky Tonk?â Boothâs vocals have not lost their distinctive sound that established him as one of the most promising vocalists of the 1970âs.

Booth revisits four of his previous hits including âThe Keys In The Mailboxâ âCinderellaâ and âLonesome 7-7203â in his new project for Heart of Texas Records based in Brady, Texas. He also rerecorded the Buck Owens (his former boss man) song âSweethearts In Heaven.â

He shines in the new material that was hand selected for this reunion project including the title track âIs This All There Is To A Honky Tonk?â

âI was told that the song was actually written for me when I was recording for Capital Records,â Booth said. âFor some reason, I never got a hold of it and Jerry Naylor cut it. I had to call three or four people to get a copy of the song just to record it. I always said that if I did another album that I was going to include that song.â

New traditional country songwriters Justin Trevino and Guyanne McCall composed âPlay Me The Truthâ while veteran Glenn Sutton contributed âYou Look Like Someone That Used To Love Meâ and âIâve Been Around Love Long Enoughâ for the album.

âI wanted to include a song that my brother Larry wrote for Gene Watson,â Booth said. âThat is the reason I recorded âMy Memories Of You.â I have always loved that song and it really fits well in the project.â

Booth rounds out the album with âLosing You Just Dawned On Me Todayâ and âAnother Chance At Love.â

Justin Trevino produced âIs This All There Is To A Honky Tonkâ and the album features Jake Hooker on bass, Randy Lindley on rhythm guitar, Randy Corner on lead guitar, Justin Trevino on harmony vocals, T. Bonta on piano, Reggie Rueffer on fiddle, Johnny Cox on steel guitar and Jim Loessberg on drums.
