Usually nowadays young artists arrive at talent search competitions just after leaving the hair-dresser´s studio being styled up-to-date. Tobi Reiss however chose the classic way. After long years in coverbands and later on being sideman or even musical director of well known top 10 acts in Germany, he decided to use all the gathered experience to record his very own music.

PLAY! is an album of 12 songwriting treasures performed by an outstanding band consisting of well known German live- and studio musicians such as Tommy Baldu, Sebastian Studnitzky, Florian Sitzmann, or Edo Zanki.

The Songs are partly written in the style of New Orleans Pop Blues Songwriting such as Dr. John or Harry Connick Jr., partly solid Popsongs in the style of Elton John. There are also influences to be heard such as Herbie Hancock or Steely Dan. All together there is a new style created which is not a mixture of many different influences but a very own musical personality!

Tobi is a very soulful singer and an extraordinary piano player performing his thoughtfully written songs!
